Special Assembly under the Toofan Drive Campaign
As part of the Toofan Drive – Assembly with MLA campaign, Alphonsa College Thiruvambady organized a Special Assembly on 23 July 2026 in association with the TREE (Thiruvambady Resources for Educational Excellence) initiative. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of building a drug-free and socially responsible community.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by the Principal, who highlighted the significance of youth participation in social awareness initiatives and encouraged students to become ambassadors of positive change.
Shri Bose Jacob, Panchayat Member, addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring message on the importance of staying away from drugs and upholding social responsibility. He urged the students to make informed choices, become responsible citizens, and actively contribute to building a safe, healthy, and progressive society. He also administered the anti-drug pledge, with students, faculty members, and staff solemnly reaffirming their commitment to leading a drug-free life and promoting a culture of awareness and responsibility.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by College Union Chairman Shri Ebin Sunny, who expressed gratitude to the chief guests, organizers, faculty members, students, and all stakeholders for making the event a meaningful success.
The Special Assembly reinforced the college's commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and supporting initiatives that promote social awareness, unity, and a drug-free future.
